Temalar.org is a Turkish Wordpress theme site. I translate theme files and publish them on this site. It has ranking of PR2. I added backlinks.com ad block. My target is getting more visitors with weekly updates.

Daily site update works for me

As I mentioned before started daily site update for Travel Italy. It works for me, It attracks attention of Google and Yahoo bots. Also I get visits from local level search bots like baidu. I see increase on site visitors. I think this is related with updates. We will see it. If I’m doing right things, I’ll reach my target earnings.

I want to buy a home from Bodrum area. I’m planning to live there after the university finished. I’ve 2 years to finish and I’ve no money . My project starts with this problem. Started to add hotel listings

Today I finished adding images to posts listed in Italy destination/B and C. Before this project I see that google images brings traffic to sites. So I add image title and description on all images.

Final thing is hotel listings. Travel italy didn’t updated since 21 May. To get more traffic I need daily updates. So I will add one hotel daily during image additions.

I bought www.travelitaly24.com domain 3 years ago from a webmaster forum. It’s dmoz listed. This year I decided to monetize and redevelop.

Firstly I adapt theme to navigate easily. Menus are listed using ajax and some sub categories are listed using custom wp tags. For backend I use wordpress and its plugins.

Plugins used and their purpose:

Author Advertising: I used it to manage adsense ads. Adsense codes are located on top and the bottom of all pages in single post style. Author advertising has a feature to share ad impressions with writers ( future phase)
Clean Options: To reduce db size
Dagon Design Sitemap Generator: To be listed fastly in search engines
Enhanced WP-ContactForm : To get link exchange and ad requests
Google XML Sitemaps : Of course for google
iWPhone: For mobile accesses. But not finished theme customization.
Link Exchange Manager: Main aim is getting back links. I adepted to site design
MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer: Hey, I’m not a blog spammer
Psychic Search: Track user searches. Not used now because of low traffic
Register Plus: Advenced user registration system
Sociable: For social bookmarks and possible traffic gain. Print and email icons added
WP-Affiliate: To hide sponsor and hotel links.
WP-DBManager: Database optimization and backup
wpSEO: SEO tool
WP Super Cache: I will use it when the content become stable

What I did? :

wp-login.php integrated with current theme
Comments closed
General content about Italy finished
accordion ajax menu added to sidebar
Started to add category images on posts.
Started selling text link ads.

In future:

I’ll create custom category pages with full images. Destination categories will have current weather, map and image search link
Hotels will be added
RevShare system will be activated for guest writers
Will start link trades
Directory submissions ( first target is pr4)
